Bridgerton season 2 saw Netflix report 251 million hours watched in its first week alone, so it is understandable Ashley would continue with that show, especially with plenty more Bridgerton seasons in the works. For Ashley, her extremely successful debut as Kate Sharma in Bridgerton season 2, led to the actress confirming that she would not be returning for season 4 of Sex Education (via Radio Times). Sex Education's popular kids Olivia and Anwar no longer graced the Moordale halls in season 4 as both actors focused on new projects. Here are all the actors that did not return by the end of Sex Education season 4. Although Sex Education focuses on multiple stories throughout its seasons, many characters now feel integral to the Netflix series and often crossover with others, such as Otis’ and Ola’s (Patricia Alison) two families joining together as Jean and Jakob's important relationship developed. Four major actors did not return for season 4. Sex Education’s Moordale isn’t the only significant change for the series. Related: Sex Education Season 5: Renewal Chances, Spinoff Plans & Everything We Know Sex Education season 3 also saw the culmination of some major plot lines, such as Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam’s (Connor Swindells) relationship ending, while Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Maeve’s (Emma Mackey) relationship status was considered " up in the air" following Moordale's sudden closure and Maeve's acceptance to Wallace. Sex Education season 4, however, is slightly different because, at the end of season 3, Moordale closed, and students were told they’d need to find a new school. Sex Education is set at Moordale Secondary School and explores sex and sexuality to love and friendships, and all the personal issues in-between.
